Control humidity: Avoid storing tea in conditions that are either too dry or too humid.
Keep it cool: Store tea in a cool place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Keep in mind that display cabinet lights can also produce heat.

Once the shipping partner receives the package, it usually takes 1–3 days (excluding Sundays) for them to process and dispatch it. Tracking information will begin to update after the package has been dispatched.

Family-made
Wuyi Yancha is what our own family makes in Wuyishan, and it is the tea we work with most closely. We know the growing areas and tea plants firsthand, as well as the decisions that go into processing and roasting. For the small number of other teas we carry, we work with tea-making families we know personally and whose work we know well.
Single-origin
Wuyi Yancha carries the influence of where it is grown. Wuyishan has a particular growing environment shaped by its rocky terrain, soil, climate, sunlight, and moisture, and these conditions are an important part of what makes Wuyi Yancha what it is. Together with cultivar, processing, and roasting, they all play a part in the aroma, texture, and overall character of the finished tea.

This Shou Mei can feel quite different depending on how you brew it. In a gaiwan, the liquor stays a clear golden color, with honeyed sweetness and a light honey aroma coming through. Boiling it in a teapot brings out a deeper side. The liquor gradually turns orange-red, and the flavor moves more toward red date and soft rice-like notes. The texture also becomes smoother and silkier, giving the tea a fuller, more settled feel.
More About This Tea
“One year tea, three years medicine, seven years treasure.” If you know white tea, you have probably heard this saying. It does not mean tea is literally medicine. Rather, it reflects the way white tea changes with time, gradually becoming mellower, smoother, and fuller in character.
This aged white tea cake was made with Shou Mei harvested in 2015 from a formerly cultivated tea garden that had been left untended for many years and gradually rewilded. After years of aging, the tea has developed a softer, more settled character, with honeyed sweetness, red date notes, and a smooth, silky texture.
The tea has a full, rounded body, while time has softened some of the brighter edges found in younger Shou Mei. Depending on how it is brewed, the sweeter honeyed side or the deeper red date character may come forward more clearly.
