Introduction to Tongmuguan

Tongmuguan is located in the core area of the Wuyi Mountain National Nature Reserve in Fujian. It's the birthplace of black tea in the world.

For centuries, tea lovers have passed down a simple truth: “Black tea started in China. Its roots run deep in Fujian. And it all began in Tongmuguan, Wuyi."

What makes Tongmuguan so special?

I guess nature gave it a perfect home for growing black tea. Its unique environment has earned it the title "the world’s most natural tea mountain."

Everything comes together to create amazing black tea:

Generous Rain: Over 2,000 mm of rain falls every year, more than anywhere else in Fujian, mostly during the key growing months from March to October. This keeps the black tea leaves tender and full of life.

Cool Nights & Warm Days: The high altitude brings cool nights after warm days. This gentle rhythm helps tea plants build rich flavors slowly without stress.

Just-Right Temperatures: With an average yearly temperature of 12-13°C, the tongmuguan black tea develops its complex taste naturally. It brews into a smooth, deep amber cup that stays delicious through many infusions.

Fertile Soil: The mountain soil is loose, deep, and full of natural goodness. It drains well but holds just enough moisture, letting the tea bushes grow strong roots.

This magical mix, the pure water, clean air, mountain heights, and rich earth, turns Tongmuguan into a true heaven on earth for black tea.

Tongmuguan Lapsang Souchong - 正山小种 (5g*3 packets)
The Tongmuguan Lapsang Souchong has a strong smoky scent, and it always remind me of a cozy campfire. The tea soup offers sweetness and a clear caramel smell similar to brown sugar. It tastes of longan and ripe grains, and the smokiness also fills your mouth. I mean maybe, in addition to the brewing method of Gongfu tea, you can try mixing it with milk, that would be a fascinating cup of milk tea.

Tongmuguan Wild Black Tea - 野生红茶 (5g*3 packets)
The Wild Black Tea originates from Tongmuguan's remote region which serves as a special setting for wild tea tree cultivation. The tea exhibits toasted aromas and deep flavors similar to sweet potato and honey. The rich flavor spreads throughout your mouth as you drink it with sweet nectar and fruity notes plus slight woodiness and toasty mouthfeel.

Tongmuguan Jin Jun Mei - 金骏眉 (5g*3 packets)
As a top-tier black tea, Jin Jun Mei is most famous for its incredibly rich taste. The tea soup color is golden, as inviting as honey water. Take a sip, and first, you’ll notice wild floral notes spreading instantly in your mouth. That deep, full feel is like sipping a fine aged wine. Then, a gentle sweetness rises in your throat. When the flavor stays on your palate you may catch a roasted sweet potato note. The complex flavor combines the sweet smoothness of black tea with the floral charm of oolong and green tea's fresh taste. All these tastes blend wonderfully, creating a truly delightful surprise.
